Cailtlin R. Foster

My piece was created with environmental concern, particularly our oceans.
The bright neon colors and coral are supposed to represent the trash that has plagued our oceans. However, the image still appears pleasant and pretty because I believe humanity knows pollution is detrimental but we refuse to really see the effects of our own damage. Whale was created with marker, acrylic, gouache, colored pencil, and chalk pastel.

Caitlin Foster is a senior attending University of The Incarnate Word. Her major is B.F.A. with a concentration in drawing, and she was also published in UIW’s literary journal Quirk in 2019.
